Enforcement of engineering structures of the aeration tanks at the Novo-Kur’ianovo wastewater treatment facilities

Summary

The technical solutions supported by calculations of the enforcement of foundations and substructures of the aeration tanks of the first and second lines of the Moscow Novo-Kur’ianovo wastewater treatment facilities are presented. In the process of operation the aeration tank engineering structures were subject to uneven subsidence that caused bottom and wall deformations. Probable causes of the carrying capacity loss of substructures and foundations are considered. Me­thods of aeration tank structure restoration with maximum use of the existing structures and substructure carrying capacities have been developed. The project includes building new in situ structures of complicated configuration inside the existing aeration tanks; a solution of enforcement exterior and dividing walls has been designed. The channels and flumes in the aeration tanks for nutrients removal have been designed.
