Treatment of the Volga's Water with Aluminium Polyoxychlorides
A technique of the Volga's water treatment with the use of aluminium polyoxychlorides <АКВА-АУРАТT> of different modifications is considered. The accumulated experience of the industrial use of these coagulants makes it possible to recommend them to water treatment facilities of the Volga Region.

Reduction of the Concentration of Organochlorine Compounds Generated in the Course of Potable Water Preparation
Factors and conditions of water treatment influencing on the process of generation of volatile organochlorine compounds are considered. To reduce their concentration for potable water disinfection it is proposed to use fixed chlorine (chloramines). Results of the study of efficiency of the use of preliminary ammonization for the reduction of concentration of volatile organochlorine compounds at three water supply stations having different influent water quality and conditions of its treatment are presented.

Experience in the Use of Sodium Hypochlorite for Water Disinfection at Treatment Facilities of Central Water Supply System of the City of Rostov-na-Donu
The experience in conversing chlorine service of water supply facilities of a megapolis into the safe technology of disinfectant production from a common salt solution of any type is recounted. A method to prevent generation of calcium carbonate sediments on an electrolyzer's cathodes by means of acid decarbonation of water used is considered. Data on changing the composition and pH of influent water and water delivered to the network in case of its treatment with sodium hypochlorite including the technological characteristics of saturated and working salt solutions are presented.

Influence of the Don's Water Treatment with Chlorine Reagents on Generation of Volatile Chlororganic Compounds
A comparative assessment of influence of chloroagents (chlorine, low-concentrated sodium hypochlorite and oxidant produced at the Aquachlor units with ion-selective electrolysis) on the generation of volatile chlororganic compounds in the course of the Don's water treatment is given. Preammonization is an efficient method of reduction of their concentration.

Development of Biomembrane Technologies for Natural Water Treatment
The hybrid biosorption-membrane technology of advanced removal of toxic and bioresistant substances (xenobiotics) from natural water with the use of membrane filtration in reactors with bioactive powdered carbon has been developed. The use of the biosorption-membrane reactor as a preliminary stage at treatment facilities ensures guaranteed quality of treatment for contaminants of natural origin (chromaticity, turbidity et al.) as well as for specific substances of anthropogenic nature (oil products, phenols, pesticides, chlor- and organophosphorous compounds et al.).

The Use of Flocculants for Intensification of Filters Wash Water Clarification
Results of the laboratory studies of intensification of the process of filters wash water sedimentation at water treatment facilities of the city of Novy Urengoy are presented. It is established that flocculants of anion type, Praestol 2530 particularly, are the most efficient means for treatment of filters' wash water.
