Training of highly qualified personnel for housing and public utilities in the field of water supply and wastewater disposal: on the occasion of centenary of the Water Supply and Wastewater Disposal Department of NSUACE (Sibstrin)

Summary

In recent years, Russian companies have been experiencing a severe shortage of qualified construction personnel. The shortage is also observed for the professionals in water supply and wastewater disposal, both in industries and engineering companies. The Novosibirsk State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering (Sibstrin) has been training these professionals in the Construction program at the Department of Water Supply and Wastewater Disposal for 100 years, since 1926. Graduates of the department successfully work throughout Russia and overseas. The information on the Department activities over the past years, including research, collaboration with businesses, and training professionals is provided.
