Advanced methods of the Moscow water distribution network reconstruction

Summary

A review of the advanced trenchless technologies of pipeline repair is presented. The main methods of damaged pipe rehabilitation with the use of polyethylene U-liner, spraying on cement-sand coatings, synthetic tubes impregnated with special polymerizing compounds are considered. The methods based on installing polyethylene, steel or cast iron pipes in the existing pipeline subject to reconstruction: «pipe in pipe without bursting» and «pipe in pipe with bursting» (pipe bursting) are discussed; their advantages and disadvantages are considered in relation to the conditions of usage in the dense city infrastructure.

The technology of repair and rehabilitation of the main shafts of deep-laid sewers

Summary

Inspection shafts are very important components of sewers; therefore choosing an optimal repair technology is a vital task. The aspects of repair and rehabilitation of deep sewer inspection shafts are considered. Technologic and technical solutions with the use of molded polyethylene, reinforced molded slag panels, ceramic bricks are presented. The advantages and disadvantages of the presented technologies are shown alongside with the examples of their use in practice.

The experience in introduction of modern technologies of MGUP Mosvodokanal in the course of reconstruction of sewerage gravity-flow conduits and collectors including with use of vacuum pumping of wastewater is described.
